JOUR 1 : DE MARRAKECH À LA VALLÉE DU DADES

Begin your adventure from Marrakech, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy panoramic views of Berber villages nestled in the rugged landscape. En route, stop at the iconic Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a superb example of traditional Moroccan earthen architecture. After exploring this historic marvel, continue through Ouarzazate and the fragrant Valley of Roses before arriving in the scenic Dades Valley. Spend the night in a charming guesthouse or hotel overlooking the valley’s dramatic rock formations.

DAY 2: DADES VALLEY TO MERZOUGA VIA TODRA GORGES

After breakfast, travel through the enchanting Dades Valley, also known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Continue to the Todra Gorges, where sheer cliffs rise dramatically up to 300 meters, creating a breathtaking natural corridor. Take a short walk to admire the gorge’s beauty, then journey onward to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sun set over the vast desert before arriving at a traditional Berber camp. Enjoy an evening under the stars, complete with local music, warm hospitality, and a delicious dinner.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT EXPLORATION

Rise early to witness the serene beauty of a desert sunrise, then return to camp for breakfast. Spend the day exploring the Merzouga region, including visits to nearby villages and encounters with the Gnawa people to learn about their rich musical heritage. You’ll also have the chance to meet nomadic families and gain insight into their unique way of life in the Sahara. Return to your accommodation in Merzouga for a relaxing evening.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA TO FES VIA THE ZIZ VALLEY

After breakfast, say farewell to the desert and begin your journey north to Fes. Drive through the lush Ziz Valley, with its sweeping palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Pass through Midelt, a town nestled at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains, then continue through scenic cedar forests. Make a stop in Azrou to see the native Barbary macaques in their natural habitat, and visit Ifrane—often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its clean, alpine-style architecture. Arrive in Fes by evening and settle into your accommodation.

DAY 5: DISCOVERING FES

Dedicate your final day to exploring the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco: the ancient city of Fes. Wander through its UNESCO-listed medina, one of the world’s best-preserved medieval cities, filled with vibrant souks, artisans, and centuries-old monuments. Visit the historic Al Quaraouiyine University, the ornate Bou Inania Madrasa, and the colorful Chouara tanneries. Conclude your journey with a deeper appreciation of Morocco’s heritage, traditions, and timeless charm.
